Before time slips by too much faster, I wanted to let you all know about some of the things that have been happening in the Windows Community to help everyone see just how incredible you all are and what amazing contributions you’re making to Windows. Just a few days ago, we launched a new Communities web page for all of Windows, part of which is shown below: I’m really excited about this as it gives us another place to show off all of your great tips and stories! Plus this site lets people know about some of the other Windows communities they can get involved in, like Answers, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. We’re looking forward to turning up the volume of traffic to this site. Another new part of the Windows website is the new Exploring Windows area. These new pages feature a lot of your community posts too. Check out this example featuring our very own DocExtreme and Ludwig: One other place you’ll see your stuff is on the @MSWindows and @windowslive twitter accounts. We’re tweeting about all the cool stuff you’re sharing all the time. If you’re on twitter, please follow those accounts and let us know what you think. Oh, and leave me a comment below with your twitter “handle” so I can put it on anything I tweet out about you and your great posts. Lots going on and lots more to come. Thank you for being part of our community and have a wonderful summer! - Marcus, Windows Community Manager June 24 Take a Break from Blogging and Grab Some Free Music
We hope you enjoy the music! - Marcus, Windows Community Manager June 15 Share 10 Years of Messenger Memories in the ClubhouseWhen I heard that Windows Live Messenger is celebrating it’s tenth birthday, I couldn’t believe it. Part of me can’t even remember a time before Messenger. Another part of me feels like Messenger seems brand new, especially with all the changes in the latest release. Our Windows community is sharing Messenger memories in the Clubhouse. Check out what the community has to say and then add your own voice. We’d all love to hear about your favorite Messenger moments.
Marcus, Windows Community Manager June 09 It’s June and It’s All About Dads & Grads
We’ve got a lot planned in our Windows community this month, including some new challenges including a special one about Dads & Grads. We’re also planning some new websites that showcase all of your great community contributions as well as working to make the Clubhouse an even better place to share your best Windows stories and how-to tips. It’s been amazing to see everyone’s posts about Windows 7. Your expertise and knowledge shows through in every post and is really helping others understand more about Windows. Have a great June and as always, thanks for being part of our Windows Community. - Marcus, Windows Community Manager June 01 New Community Challenge: Your Windows 7 Desktop
One of the ways we get to know each other in the Windows community is by responding to challenges. Our most recent challenge is sure to show off some of the individuality among community members as we’re asking everyone to show off their Windows 7 desktop. I can’t wait to see what sorts of gadgets people use and how they are using the new taskbar. If you’re already a member of the community, just visit the Clubhouse site for more details on this new challenge. If you haven’t joined our community yet, we’d be happy to welcome you!
